About Me

Hello!

My name is Shelby. I am a wife and mother to three lovely children. We enjoy being outside in the fresh air, surrounded by nature. We love homeschooling, visiting with our livestock and hanging out by the fire. While staying home to read books, cook delicious food and do a little bit of homeschooling is just fine...what I really enjoy doing is taking my kids out to nearby parks and nature trails (with my camera in hand of course) and letting them be "wild".

It is here that I found my true passion for telling the stories of our days. Finding the interesting light, the little faces turned up at the towering trees and little bare feet tip toeing through the shallows of the riverbank. Or maybe the stories of tiny snuggly faces covered up in blankets reading books by the fire. Or maybe the stories of sitting on grandpas lap while we eat our favorite snack. Whatever the day may bring, I found passion and love in capturing those memories, those stories and keeping them forever in a still frame.

As we've grown in life, so have my interests and passions in photography. We have started a homestead and I've found a renewed passion in telling the story of produce grown from tiny seed into the hands of market customers and livestock lovingly cared for from birth to butcher. Ive enjoyed getting my hands dirty and finding the beauty in what many would call the "ugly". There is value where we have toiled, bled, cried and grown and I revel in capturing that.
